Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Kim Kimble grew up in a family of hairstylists. Her mother, Janie Kimble, was a professional hairdresser who owned a salon, and from a young age, Kim was immersed in the world of beauty and styling. She attended Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, where she honed her skills and developed a passion for pushing the boundaries of hair artistry.

Shaping the Future of Hair
Kim Kimble’s big break came when she worked on the hit film BAPS* (1997), creating bold, unforgettable hairstyles that showcased her unique flair. From there, her career skyrocketed. She became Beyoncé’s go-to hairstylist for her 2003 "Dangerously in Love" album and her Single Ladies video. She continued to collaborate with her on iconic projects like the Super Bowl halftime show, the Lemonade visual album, and the On The Run tours.
Her ability to create trendsetting, versatile hairstyles made her a favorite among A-list celebrities, gracing red carpets, magazine covers, and music videos. Kimble’s work celebrates the diversity of Black hair, from natural textures to glamorous weaves and intricate braiding.
